Build-up prevention
Because CARDOX is used from outside your equipment at operating temperatures, many plants don't wait for a major problem to use CARDOX.

They use it as a preventative maintenance tool. Pre-calciners, feed shelves, silos, transfer chutes and other trouble spots, are shot daily or during each shift (while on line) to purge any material buildup before blockage occurs, insuring continuous operation.

What it's made of
The Cardox system consists of a high-strength reusable steel tube filled with liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) that is energized with a small electrical charge. Expanding up to 6,000 times the original volume, the CO2 is released through a discharge nozzle, creating a powerful pushing force reaching pressures up to 34,000 psi. More than three tons of blockage can be dislodged by a single blast in milliseconds.
