Bin and Silo Flow Issues
BREAK-UP THE BLOCKAGES

Pneumat Bin and Silo Solutions:

Problem: Hot lime bins and screw feeders are subject to frequent flow problems.

Pneumat Solution: Base sockets welded in strategic places on the side of these bins make for easy access for Cardox. AirForce Air Cannons (formerly LADCO) in different spots can also be used in these types of situations. With a control-timing box, it makes make bulk flow safer, faster, easier. Either system can break up any blockage from outside the bin so that no employee will be exposed to hot lime.

Many times the blockages are attempted to be cleared with high air pressure hoses, poking and pounding. This all exposes employees to safety incidents and environmental concern from the discharges of fine lime dust to surrounding areas.

Problem: Wood chips bin is not flowing properly because of hang-ups.

Pneumat Solution: Wood chips are no match for the hydraulic power of the Pneumat BinWhip, instead of putting employees at risk in a confined space to clean the bin out. BinWhip is easy to move and reaches any portion of the bin. Various sized wood chips for different types of paper get hung-up in a bin for different reasons. One may be that with the wood holding moisture and the temperature dropping below freezing, the chips freeze together and don’t flow. That doesn’t stop the BinWhip.
