and/or Hung-up Cement Bins and Silos
Bin and Silo Flow Issues
END THE UNSAFE POKING
Pneumat Cement Bin and Silo Solutions:
Problem: Slag, rock, homogenized
and/or raw silos have hang-ups and/or are bridged over.
Pneumat
Solution: BinWhip, BinDrill
and Cardox are perfect solutions for this
problem. Poking, prying, air lancing is not only ineffective, you
also have to deal with the issues of getting a confined space entry
permit, not to mention how dangerous these internal solutions are
to employees because there is no telling when the product will give
way.
We use the BinDrill to make a hole
through the bridged over slag silo, then set the BinWhip to whip
it out, creating a good flow and a safer work environment. Alternatively,
you can use Cardox to blast out the hang-ups.
Problem: The gypsum and finished
cement silos have slow flow due to big chunks blocking the opening
at the bottom.
Pneumat
Solution: Drill a hole into the gypsum or cement chunk at
the opening at the bottom of the bin and place a Cardox
tube into the hole. With an eyebolt on the activation head,
attach it to a come-along for security and easy retrieval of the
tube. Continue to do this until the gypsum or cement has good flow
or until all the chunks are broken up. As a preventative, AirForce
Cannons (formerly LADCO) placed at the bottom or anywhere else
on the bin can ensure that the product doesn’t continue to
get hung-up.
If you prefer, TeamPneumat will clear
your clog for you regardless of the product, the bin or the silo.
